Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your booked session. This allows time for check-in, safety briefing, and meeting your alpaca.
 

Late arrivals may miss the walk and are not eligible for a refund—our alpacas run a tight schedule!
 

You are welcome to arrive earlier and make use of the café, restaurant or beach bar onsite. 

What to Wear

Our walks take place outdoors although in extreme weather we reserve the right to walk them in the equestrian schools. Please dress for the weather and terrain.

• Sturdy, closed-toe footwear (wellies or walking boots recommended).  
• Weather-appropriate clothing (layers, waterproofs, hats/sunscreen). 
• No umbrellas or loose accessories (they can scare the alpacas)

Who Can Join?

Our walks are suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, but please note:

• Minimum age for leading an alpaca: 6 years.  
• Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. 
• Family-friendly & group-friendly.
• We offer private and group walks.

Alpaca Etiquette

Our alpacas are gentle, curious animals—but they do have boundaries!

• Please walk calmly and quietly around them.
• No feeding unless directed by staff.
• Always follow your handler's instructions.

Alpaca selfies? Absolutely! We’ll guide you to get that perfect picture and are more than happy to take some memorable snaps for you.

Facilities

• Toilets available on-site - including disabled toilets.
• Food & drink available – café, beach bar, restaurant, and bar onsite plus we can offer afternoon teas, cream teas, picnics, and fish n chips. 
• Indoor equine arenas for days when it is extreme weather.
• Goats and pigs are next to our paddock that Willoughby Park welcome you to come and meet.
• Pony rides and pony experience days – Must be pre-booked via the Willoughby Park website.  

Dog Policy

For the safety of our alpacas, no dogs are allowed on the walks or in our farm area. Thank you for understanding! Alpacas are really scared of dogs. 

Cancellations & Weather

We walk in most weather, but if conditions are unsafe e.g. storms, we’ll contact you to rearrange or offer a refund.
